Job Title:
Lift Maintenance Technician
Seasons at Copper Mountain Resort:

What do you chase?
I've always chased winter. I skied with my family as a child and switched to snowboarding during college. The winter season has always been my favorite, and that's what brought me to Colorado.
How did you decide on Copper Mountain Resort?
After college in Idaho, I decided to head for Colorado instead of going back to east coast winters. I chose Summit County as my destination and since I had visited Copper on a ski trip a couple of years before and knew it was a great place. I had been a lift operator on the east coast and was excited to see how Colorado compared.
Living the resort lifestyle has its challenges, what advice would you give someone choosing this career path?
Living in everyone else's perpetual vacation world is not easy. The resort lifestyle can be very difficult at times, especially here in Summit County and the surrounding areas. My advice is, to find a place to live outside of Copper. It's important to keep some separation between work and your everyday life.
What do you like about working for Copper?
One of the things I like most about my position is working outside every day. It's amazing to be the first person on top of the mountain in the morning, getting to watch the sunrise. Being surrounded by the beautiful mountains and wildlife, and breathing the fresh air. Copper is an incredible place to work.
