How did you decide on Copper Mountain Resort?
I grew up in a nearby ski town and visited Copper a few times when I was little. It has always had a great vibe and I knew it as a great locals' mountain. Now, working here, it's been so awesome getting to know this community of people that share the same love for working here and living in the mountains.
Living the resort lifestyle has its challenges, what advice would you give someone choosing this career path?
Copper is very supportive of its employees and, as someone that lives and works here year-round, I feel very taken care of. I think anyone interested in working her should check out their options for things like housing and see how the resort might be able to help. I feel extremely lucky to be able to work in a job in my field that is part of the ski industry. I've been able to watch The Athlete's Mountain come to life and have had unique opportunities working major, world-class events/competitions and have been able to travel around to different media markets to spread the word about Copper.
What do you like about working for Copper?
Working for Copper has offered so many amazing benefits. I feel like I have a very solid work-life balance and am encouraged to get out and explore the mountain, whether it's taking a mid-day ski break, an early morning uphill ski or a mountain bike ride up. I've connected with a lot of coworkers that share similar outdoor interests so it has been really wonderful to be able to enjoy activities I love with people that I work with.
