This reusable, reloadable card is all you’ll need for lift tickets. You’ll be able to use it again and again, saving you time by getting you right to the lift. Here's how to use it:
1) Head to the lift ticket window or Guest Services to pick one up. This will be the only time you must visit a window.
2) Use the card as your lift ticket.
3) After your day on the hill, hang onto your card for safe keeping.
4) Once you’re ready to return to the mountain, visit CopperColorado.com to purchase a new lift ticket. Be sure to enter your 18-digit Copper Card number before checking out.
5) Once you complete your transaction, your card will be loaded with your new lift ticket and you’ll be ready to go! Put it back into your coat or pants then walk right to the lift.

The Copper Card is equipped with RFID technology. RFID – or Radio Frequency Identification – is the use of radio waves to read information stored on a tag attached to an object. In Copper’s case, an electromagnetic chip inside of the Copper Card will prompt a gate at the chairlift to open. This technology is completely safe when it comes to your health and well-being.
Place your Copper Card in a coat or pants pocket, or anywhere the frequency can reach. It does not have to be visible. Ensure that it is away from your cell phone, keys, or a wallet – these items block the frequency therefore preventing your card from working.
It is best to have the card in a pocket by itself. Do not punch a hole in your card. It will disable the technology. Should you do so, it will cost you $5 to replace it.
