Below is a detailed list of information related to the common questions received by our Childcare Team.

Allergies: We ask allergy information at the time of check-in. Your child’s name tag will signal these allergies to his or her teacher. We are a peanut free environment.
Babysitting Services: Copper Mountain Resort does not coordinate babysitting services; however, we will provide a list of babysitters for your convenience. Babysitters work on their own schedule and availability.
Background Checks: Every employee of the Belly Button Babies & Bakery must go through an extensive Federal & State background check.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations may be made outside of 24 hours with a 90% refund per child. Cancellations made within 24 hours will result in full charges, same for any child with a reservation and does not turn up.
Check-in Process: We have made every effort to streamline the check-in process for our guests; however, we will not rush this process, as we want to be sure that we have all of the important information regarding the care and well-being of your child(ren).
Clothes: We request that each child bring an extra change of clothing as well as outside weather clothing. We recommend waterproof snow pants, hat, gloves and boots.
Comfort Toys: We welcome comfort toys and blankets and know how important these can be to ensure a successful day for our participating children. We do request that each toy/blanket be labeled. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
CPR & First Aid: All childcare rooms have a caregiver certified in Pediatric and Adult CPR & First Aid.
Cubbies: All children will be provided a cubby for his or her personal belongings.
Diapers: Each child must bring his or her own diapers and wipes. The Belly Button Bakery and Babies does not supply these.
Emergency Contact: We will request an emergency contact number where parents can be reached while skiing/riding on the mountain. This is used only in the case of an emergency. If you do not have a cell phone, we require that you check in with us periodically throughout the day. The in-house extension to check on your child is 38101.
Full-Day: Full-day childcare is from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Half-Day: Half-day childcare is morning only, 8:30am – 12:30pm.
Hours of Operation: Belly Button Babies & Bakery is open 7 days per week from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Hourly Rate: Belly Button Babies & Bakery will offer a $35/hour rate for guests looking for 1-4 hours of childcare. Hourly childcare may be available if there is space. We do not offer hourly rates for Bakery children between 11:00am and 2:00pm as to not interrupt the children during rest/nap time.
Illness: It is required that parents keep their child home if they are exhibiting one or more of the following symptoms: Undiagnosed pain, sore throat, difficulty breathing, fever of 100 F/ 38.3 C or higher, infected skin or eyes, stiff neck, unexplained diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting, or known or suspected communicable disease. Parents will be contacted immediately if your child should begin to exhibit any of the above symptoms while at Belly Button Babies & Bakery. Ultimately the health of the child is the parent’s responsibility.
Infant Room: We accept infants 6 months to two years. Teachers work off of each individual child’s schedule. For infants who are eating solid food we will provide lunch and snacks. Infants have a crib room available to sleep in with soothing music. Parents must supply the following: diapers, wipes, bottles or trainer cup, formula or breast milk, baby food (if not able to eat the lunch/snacks that we provide) and an extra change of clothing.
Labeling: We make every effort to help your child keep up with their personal belongings. We highly recommend that you label all of your child’s personal belongings.
Licensing: Belly Button Babies & Bakery is an exempt Ski Area Guest Childcare and is to be used by patrons of Copper Mountain.
Lost and Found: We will keep all lost and found items for 14 days. If we are unable to locate the owner and we have not been contacted for the item we will donate the item to good will. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
Lunch: Children who are old enough to eat table food will be provided with two snacks, and lunch.
Naps: All children will be required to have a quiet rest period during the day. For our infant nap times will vary depending on the child and their sleeping needs. Our toddlers will have a quiet rest period between 12:30pm and 2:00pm.
Medications: We request that medication be administered by parents.
Paperwork: Parents will need to fill out a child information sheet and liability waiver at check-in. This only needs to be done once per year in the event of multiple day participation.
Parent Involvement: We invite all parents to check-in as often as needed for your comfort. If, however, your child is having a separation difficulties it may be best to keep a reasonable distance while checking in on your child to alleviate additional stress.
Parking: There is 10 minute free parking for drop off in Ten Mile Circle, located before the parking attendant, which is where you can also pay for the entire day. This is the closest parking lot to the BBB. In-resort transportation from the Alpine and Corn lots is available for your convenience. The center village drop-off is in front of the Mountain Plaza building where we are located.
Peanut Free: Belly Button Babies & Bakery is a peanut free environment. We do request that you do not send peanut containing food products with your child. All food products offered at the Belly Button Babies & Bakery will be peanut free.
Ratios: The maximum teacher to student ratios consists of the following: 1 teacher for every 4 infants 24 months and younger, and 1 teacher to every 7 children over 24 months.
Reservations: Reservations are required. Walk-ins may be accepted, at higher rates, based on availability.
Special Diets: Belly Button Babies & Bakery is a peanut free environment. If your child requires a special diet we ask that you bring in his or her own food.
Sunscreen: Sunscreen is absolutely recommended at our altitude. We ask that you apply sunscreen on your child before drop-off.
Toddlers: We accept children from ages two to six years. Activities may include but are not limited to art, creative play, music, story time, circle time, and outside snow play. Snack, and lunch are provided (we do not offer milk or juice. Parents are encouraged to bring milk or juice if this is something that their child needs). Parents must bring the following: diapers, wipes, outside clothing and extra clothing.
