WOODWARD AT COPPER - TIME TO GET SOME BARN SHRED SESSIONS ON!
NEW Barn Hours Announced - Summer Camps Wrapping Up This Week
Copper Mountain, CO…July 27, 2010…Have you been wondering how to keep in “ski shape” during the off-season? Now that summer camps are finishing up for the summer, the fine folks with Woodward at Copper have announced the late summer and early fall hours of operation in The Barn, the first of its kind, 20,000 sq. ft. facility, giving participants access to Snowflex® jumps, foam pits, a spring floor, fly-bed trampolines and indoor skateboard features.
For those of you looking to get your shred on in the off-season leading up to winter, starting August 5 the Barn is open Thursdays through Sundays, for the 2, 4 and 6 p.m. One Hit Wonder, Drop-In Sessions, Barn Privates, and Skate/BMX only sessions, as well as Saturdays & Sundays for Barn Only Camp Days. After Labor Day, the Barn will be open 7 days a week for 2, 4 and 6 p.m One Hit Wonder, Drop-In Sessions, Barn Privates and Skate/BMX only sessions, while still offering the Barn Only Camp Days on Saturdays and Sundays.
The One Hit Wonder is a mandatory, one-time, introductory session that helps participants become comfortable with all the unique equipment in The Barn, as well as teaching participants the key techniques to help progress faster and safer than ever before. One Hit Wonders Sessions are available Aug. 5 – Sept. 5, every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. After Labor Day, Sept. 6, through the start of winter season in early November, One Hit Wonder Sessions are available 7 days a week at 2, 4 and 6 p.m.
Once a One Hit Wonder has been taken successfully, guests are all good to participate in the Drop-In Sessions, an hour and 45 minutes of whatever you want to learn - working on individual skills and focusing training on the trampolines, jump line, rail garden, quarter pipe, log jib, spring floor or any of the skate features...basically, the whole Barn is at your disposal! For the best deal around, make sure to pick up a 5- or 10-Punch Pass for Drop-In Sessions, valid through April 24, 2011. Drop-In sessions are available Aug. 5 – Sept. 5, every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. After Labor Day, Sept. 6, through the start of winter season in early November, Drop-In Sessions are available 7 days a week.
Barn Private Lessons are one-on-one with a Woodward at Copper coach in The Barn. What you will work on during the lesson is completely up to you, as the staff is trained to teach beginner techniques to the most advanced tricks. NOTE: Participants must complete a One Hit Wonder session prior to signing up for a Barn Private Lesson. Barn Private Lessons are available Aug 5 – Sept 5, at Noon, 2, 4 and 6 p.m., every Thursday through Sunday, and daily at the same times after Labor day.
In addition, Woodward at Copper will be offering the Barn Only Camp Day, where skiers and riders will work with Woodward at Copper coaches to improve their skills and learn new tricks inside The Barn using the tramps, foam pits, Snowflex® ramps and other features. This is a great opportunity for shredders to experience everything the Barn has to offer and learn a few new tricks before next winter season, while not having to worry about getting your “ski legs” back for the first couple months of winter. The great thing about the Camp Day is that the participant’s choose what they want to learn and how much time is spent on any given part of The Barn – skating the bowls or ramps, jumping on the tramps, flipping on the spring floors, learning double flips off the Snowflex jumps or sliding rails all day long. Barn Only Camp Days are offered on Saturdays and Sundays Aug. 7 – Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
