Guests will be blown away by this year’s lineup. Festival favorite John Jorgenson, also an Acoustic Guitar Magazine Gold Award Winner in the 2008 Acoustic Jazz category, returns with his Gypsy Jazz, John Jorgenson Quintet. Returning for his sixth Guitar Town appearance is festival favorite songwriter and blues rocker, Mark Selby. New to this year’s line-up, Kaki King will dazzle all that are fortunate enough to hear her unique brand of music. Unfortunately due to health concerns Mick Taylor will not be making an appearance this summer.

If the free lineup and entertainment schedule isn't enough to entice guitar fans, Coors Light is hosting the Guitar Town VIP package, which includes side stage seating for the main stage concerts Saturday and Sunday, private patio seating in Burning Stones Plaza, free beer, snacks and a commemorative poster. Summit Copper Mountain at 12,313 feet or celebrate two days of Guitar Town with the VIP package for only $123.13 per person!  Tickets are available at www.copperguitartown.com and will be available for pick-up Friday, August 13 before the show at the Copper Information Center, adjacent to Burning Stones Plaza.

Another great aspect of Guitar Town this year is the ArtGuitar Silent Auction, sponsored by Guitar Center in Denver. In the spirit of the “Chicago Cows,” artists from around the community and around the state have designed, decorated, painted and created art from damaged guitars. These guitars will be displayed throughout Copper during Guitar Town, and are on display now on the Channel 2 Guitar Center Stage in Denver. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Copper Environmental Foundation.

Just when you thought there couldn’t be any more going on during Guitar Town, we throw the Mountain Home and Outdoor Expo your way. The FREE (and open to the public) Mountain Home and Outdoor Expo, presented by the Summit County Builder’s Association, showcases the region’s best designers, builders and green practices. With almost 50 exhibitors that cater to your home and outdoor lifestyle, presentations will range from cooking tips/ideas and the most recent green practices, to pet training and remodeling tips. Meet and chat with non-profit organizations that support our mountain communities and help support the Summit County Food Bank and other local organizations that provide community assistance. Visit www.summitcountybuilders.org for more information.

The Guitar Town Lodging Package includes: 4 nights lodging, 1 ½ day clinic by Pete Huttlinger, continental breakfast and snacks during the sessions, the opportunity to perform in the Guitar Town Showcase on West Lake Stage Friday night, Saturday and Sunday workshops, concerts and all other festival activities. Taxes and resort fees are included. Lodging prices start at $600; restrictions apply. Space is limited and reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
