Parker Artists Guild Village Art Walk at Copper July 16 - 18

 

Copper Mountain, CO…July 15, 2010…Nearly 20 artisans from the Parker Artists Guild will be exhibiting their original artwork throughout the Village at Copper, July 16 – 18. Located in Parker, Colorado, the Parker Artists Guild is made up of a wide variety of artists living in and around the Douglas County and Denver Metro areas, bringing fine art and fine craft of all styles to Copper.

 

Friday, July 16

10 a.m. – 7 p.m.           Fridays at Copper (FAC) – Free activities with every $30 shopping or dining purchase at Copper, including a free one-time pass for the climbing wall, bumper boats, quad power jump, paddle boats, go-karts and mini-golf.

1 – 6 p.m.                     Parker Artists Guild Village Art Walk in the Village at Copper

6 p.m.                          Friday Night Street Party, with free live music by The Matt Clark Band, playing Rock, Reggae and Blues.

Dusk                            Burning Stones Outdoor Theater featuring a free showing of Julie & Julia (PG), Julia Child's story of her start in the cooking profession intertwined with blogger Julie Powell's 2002 challenge to cook all the recipes in Child's first book.

 

Saturday, July 17

10 a.m. – 6 p.m.           Parker Artist Guild Village Art Walk in the Village at Copper

9 p.m.                          Fireworks over West Lake

 

Sunday, July 18

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.           Parker Artist Guild Village Art Walk in the Village at Copper

 

The mission of the Parker Artist Guild is to advance the development of fine arts in the community. To accomplish this, the Guild offers instructional demonstrations, workshops and opportunities to promote all forms of fine art. The Parker Artist Guild was formed in May of 2001 by seven Parker, CO area artists, and the organization has grown to 200 members. Membership is open to anyone interested in the arts and includes professional and non-professional artists from beginner to expert. Oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, photography, jewelry, sculpture, pottery, wood carving, painted tiles, quilt making and stained glass mediums are represented in The Parker Artist Guild.
