14 Inches of Fresh Snow in the last day, 28 inches in the past 72 hours
The season is starting off with a bang at Copper, literally and figuratively. In the past 3 days Copper has received 28 inches of fresh powder. In addition, Patrol has been busy blasting terrain to get it open to the public. As of Nov. 17, Copper has 4 lifts open, providing 215 acres on 18 trails, with a 41 inch mid-mountain base. Copper is experiencing some of the best early season conditions in recent memory.

Main Vein Superpipe Opens, Thanksgiving-ish*
Thank you for turkey, stuffing and of course cranberry sauce. Also, thank you for the snow and most of all, thank you for the new 22 ft superpipe – home to the 2011 Visa U.S. Halfpipe Grand Prix and USASA Nationals. Copper has had the first superpipe to open in N. America the past 5 years running. *Date subject to change.
9th annual Leftover Yam Rail Jam, presented by Woodward at Copper, Nov. 26

Gobbler Chase Snow Shoe Race, Nov. 27
Grab your snowshoes and walk, trot or run to Copper’s 7th Annual Gobbler Chase. There will be Thanksgiving treats and prizes after the race, a canned food drive, and all proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations!
En Fuego - Tree Lighting with Shreddin’ Santa, Nov. 27
Celebrate Thanksgiving weekend Copper-style when the Village heats up at night with En Fuego. See Santa drop into the superpipe to light the holiday tree, with a torchlight parade, street entertainers, bonfires, fire performers and fireworks.
