Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Copper
Copper Mountain, CO…February 10, 2010…Valentine’s Day at Copper is bound to light a spark between loved ones. Whether in the mood for ice skating or bubbly, a dinner sleigh ride or a night out without the kids, Copper is the perfect place to cuddle up and enjoy Valentine’s Day.
You can call it Valentine's Eve or Chinese New Year, but we call it En Fuego, a free street party the whole family will enjoy, from 4 – 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13. This En Fuego features an ice skating spectacular at West Lake put on by members of the Breckenridge Figure Skating Club, bonfires scattered throughout the village to keep children’s hands toasty warm, fire jugglers, a BMX stunt show and the grand finale of fireworks over West Lake. After all, En Fuego is Spanish for an epic Saturday night.
For a romantic night, don't forget about the Kids' Night Out program. Sponsored by the Copper Mountain Chamber of Commerce, Kids' Night Out is a FREE childcare service offered to parents on the condition that $30 per child is spent in any commercial outlet at the resort during the hours that your children are in the program. The service is offered from 5:30 - 10 p.m. Wednesday - Saturday, as well as a special Valentine’s Night, Sunday Feb. 14. Kids will enjoy eating pizza, crafts, playing games, watching movies and much more. Walk-ups are accepted on a space-availability basis. Experience the beauty of the Ten Mile Range on a spectacular Sleigh Ride. Glide through a field glistening with snow, during a horse drawn Sleigh Ride, with a beautiful team of draft horses in the lead and a big red sleigh following behind. Ice Skating makes for a great date activity. Learn to skate with Bonnie, in pairs or as individuals, during a lesson on Feb. 13 and 14, from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. on West Lake.
