The Copper Triangle exemplifies cycling in the Colorado Rockies and works in partnership with the Davis Phinney Foundation to raise funds for Parkinson’s disease research. Graced with 78  miles of breathtaking scenery, gorgeous roads and three challenging climbs (including Fremont Pass, Tennessee Pass and Vail Pass), the Copper Triangle has long been considered one of Colorado’s classic alpine road rides.

You can register online at Active.com  or you can find a registration form on the web site to print out and mail in.

Ride Start Time

Please plan to start your ride between 5:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. ALL riders MUST be on the road by 8:00a.m. We encourage riders to begin early to avoid the traditional afternoon mountain thunderstorms and highway traffic. Colorado State Patrol will not allow anyone to start prior to first light (5:45 am) without both front and back lights on your bike

Vail Pass Sags

If you are unable to make it over Vail Pass, we ask that you stop at the parking lot at the East Vail exit. Our sag vehicles will better assist you, as they have a difficult time driving to the aid station at the base of Vail Pass due to cyclist congestion.

SAG Support

Sag wagons will drive the course with water and be available to assistance riders experiencing mechanical trouble or those who become too fatigued to finish. Please be prepared to handle your own flats and minor repairs.
