You know what it’s like to try to please everyone in your family while on vacation, right? Some want to get up early, and some late, some want to sit and relax, while others want to cut a swath of fun large and wide before noon.
Don’t fret - you can score a hole in one with everyone in your group because Copper Mountain offers an entertainment antidote for everybody in three fun-filled golf activities just outside your door.
Your avid golfers can play 18 challenging holes on Copper Creek Golf Course, one of the most beautiful courses in the Rockies, your disc golf lovers can traverse a free 9-basket course at the base of the mountain, and your mini golf aficionados can grab their putters and play for hours. All three courses are open from mid-June through Labor Day.
Copper Creek Golf Course
“Visitors to Summit County have access to some courses in the area, but Copper Creek stands out because it’s challenging, it has breathtaking views, and it’s economical. You usually have to wait awhile to get onto the other local country club-style courses, but Copper Creek is very accessible and perfect for that vacation day, drop-in basis,” says Martin Gray, Copper Creek’s Golf Operations Manager.
And did you know that Copper Creek boasts the highest tee-box in North America?
The course offers a front nine that winds through natural alpine terrain and towering pines, with several lakes and streams flowing near the rolling emerald greens. The back nine switches character as the fairways cut through the forest and the remains of a 19th century mining town. The course’s natural alpine terrain, unique mix of railroad tie bulkheads and elaborate mound system offers strategic challenge and breathtaking beauty, the perfect backdrop for novices and scratch golfers alike.
Copper Disc Golf
Copper’s exhilarating disc golf course, complete with nine baskets, is one awesome, free activity. The course starts right from Center Village then heads east toward Skid Row trail, running across to lower Andy’s Encore, up lower Collage and to Frank’s Fave, then over to Main Vein and down lower Bouncer.
You’ll gain 200 feet in vertical climb, so you be getting in a great hike as well as gorgeous views of the Wheeler Lakes trail area and the Ten Mile Range in this 30 minute-1 hour long course. Be sure to bring your own discs.
Copper Links Mini Golf
This wildflower-laden, 18-hole mini golf course will challenge and give players an enchanting history lesson as intriguing bits of Colorado history mix into the fun obstacles.
When your mini golf adventure comes to a close, you can discover even more fun as you scale Colorado’s largest outdoor climbing wall , hop into the bumper and paddle boats at West Lake, scream down the zip line over West Lake, rev up the go-karts at Summit County’s only go-kart track, and flip yourself around at the bungee jump. If this is your brand of adventure, you’ll definitely want to look into the Copper Summer Day Pass or Summer Season Pass so you can take advantage of maximum fun.
How’s that for a one-day golf adventure hat trick on the mountain?
