Copper recognizes that sustaining our environment is critical to the future success of our business and to future generations. As such, Copper strives to be stewards of our mountain and village environments.
Copper Environmental Foundation (CEF) 2011 Grant Cycle
The Copper Environmental Foundation (a non-profit 501c3), dedicated to the environmental sustainability of Copper, Frisco and the surrounding areas announces the 2011 grant cycle. The Copper Environmental Foundation (CEF) was started in November 2007 by Copper employees, with a long-term goal to support environmental initiatives in Summit County and the surrounding area.

All Grant applications must be submitted by Friday, November 11, 2011 by 4 p.m. Please email competed applications to environment@coppercolorado.com. Sorry – we only accept email submissions.
NOTE: Applicants are strongly encouraged to call Ben Brown, CEF President, at 970-968-3012 to discuss potential projects before submitting an application.

Environmental Partners
Copper is proud to support the following organizations and campaigns.
- The Copper Environmental Fund, (a non profit 501c3) was founded in November 2007 by Copper employees with a long-term goal to support environmental initiatives in Summit County and the surrounding area. Employees may voluntarily contribute to the fund, and all employee contributions are matched at 100% by Copper Mountain. The CEF is currently accepting applications for its 2011 Grant Cycle.
- National Ski Area Association's Keep Winter Cool Campaign, which supports awareness and action on global warming.
- National Ski Areas Association's Sustainable Slopes Campaign, which advocates ski area environmental stewardship in many areas through an environmental charter that Copper supports.
- The Rocky Mountain Climate Organization is working to build a coalition of businesses and governments in the Rocky Mountain region who support taking action on climate change in our area.
- The U.S. Forest Service, especially the local White River Forest Ranger District, continues to be our strongest partner in our joint commitment to environmental excellence.
- The new High Country Conservation Center, formerly known as Summit Recycling Project, is a local Summit County organization supporting recycling, green building, renewable energy and energy efficiency.
