Santa can’t stay away from a good Thanksgiving party, so he’s coming to town a little early via Pisten Bully Snowcat! Following Santa’s grand entrance is Copper’s annual tree lighting ceremony, and the evening wraps up with fireworks in Center Village.

Burn oﬀ that extra helping of Thanksgiving turkey at the 15th annual Go Pro Yam Jam. This first rail jam of the season is hosted by Woodward Copper under the lights in Copper’s Center Village, and is open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities.

The Copper stop of the U.S. Rev Tour includes snowboard and freeski competitions in the Main Vein Superpipe. The Rev Tour has proven to be a progressive venue for today’s top junior skiers and riders to take the competitive stage in multiple disciplines. It is designed to serve as a stepping stone for athletes to make the transition from competing at a grassroots level to the elite level. Top winners may earn an invitation to the U.S. Grand Prix, Junior Worlds or USASA Nationals.
December 11 - December 17, 2016
The world’s best snowboarders and freeskiers hit the 22-foot Main Vein Superpipe in pursuit of World Cup points and $400k in prize money. This year’s event will also include a Big Air competition - a new Olympic Discipline. Athletes expected to compete include Louie Vito, Kelly Clark, Scotty Lago, Hannah Teter and more.

On Christmas Eve, Copper will dazzle with yet another visit from Santa himself, along with a children’s Glowstick Pageant and a Torchlight Parade down Main Vein. Before you head home to set out the milk and cookies for jolly St. Nick, enjoy a festive fireworks display over the mountain.

On three evenings throughout the winter, Copper will oﬀer an exclusive on-hill Moonlight Dinner. Take the American Eagle chairlift up to Solitude Station and enjoy a fine dining experience. Post-meal, ski or snowboard down the mountain under the moonlight and gather for a celebratory cocktail in Center Village.

Say goodbye to 2016 and hello to 2017 with a USASA Rail Jam, a children’s Glowstick Pageant, a Torchlight Parade and - of course - a mountain-side fireworks display. Elevate the evening with a special holiday Moonlight Dine & Ski.

Copper is proud to be home to many USASA Rocky Mountain Series events. Throughout the winter, USASA competitors attempt to earn as many qualification points as they can in order to compete at USASA Nationals. This slopestyle event serves as one of these several qualification opportunities.

Competitors fight for more qualification points at this competition taking place in the 22’ Main Vein Superpipe and the medium jump line in Woodward Copper’s Central Park.

Grab your friends and compete for a good cause at the Rhythm Rally Banked Slalom. This snowboarders-only race is open to all ages and is held on a hybrid boardercross and banked slalom course. All proceeds benefit Adaptive Actions Sports, a non-profit organization based at Copper that provides assistance and coaching to disabled athletes and veterans.
