Sognar's Shred the Circuit series is coming to Copper Mountain on April 20th.
The So-Gnar Shred Circuit is a traveling amateur contest series focused on 5 regional qualifiers across the United States. "The events focus is all about having 100% fun while snowboarding", says So-Gnar founder and professional snowboarder Pat Milbery. "We have been hosting community based snowboard camps for the past 8 seasons at resorts all over the country, and we recognized a need for a creative, fun, contest with good energy. The Shred Circuit is a great outlet for the next generation of snowboarders to expand the creative limits of snowboarding with their friends and receive national exposure!"
Each contest will include a custom park setup, presented by a select handful of Shred Circuit sponsors. The features will be designed to cater to all ability levels.
There will be 3 divisions for the competition:
Kiddo Division (12 and under boys and girls)
Women's (13 and over)
Open Class Division (all ages, men and women)
Professional Snowboarders will judge each contest based upon the riders style, creativity, attitude and consistency through the session jam style format. At each stop, the first place rider will be awarded an expenses paid trip (hotel & airfare) to compete in The Shred Circuit Finals.
Registration for this event will be on April 19th,2014 at the Woodward at Copper Digital Media Lab in Center Village.
