Avalanche Dog Demos

Join Copper's Ski Patrol each Saturday for Avalanche Dog demonstrations to see how our furry friends use their heightened sense of smell to find a "buried" avalanche victim. Training for these dogs can take up to three years, and for the dogs, this training is actually just a bunch of playing. The avalanche dogs are hunting and their prey is the human buried in the snow. This is a great spectacle that the kids especially won't want to miss. Meet at either the top of the American Flyer or Super Bee lifts at 12:30 p.m.
