Copper is pleased to announce exciting appointments within their leadership structure for the 2007-08 season.  Chris Colman has accepted the new position of Director of Operations and Bruce Hodson has accepted the new position of Director of Slopes and Maintenance.

COPPER CREEK OPENS JUNE 2

The snow has retreated to make way for vibrant greens, waving tee flags and anxious golfers.  With the stage set, Copper Creek Golf Club opens for public and passholder play Saturday, June 2.

COPPER’S SUMMER SCHEDULE FEATURES NATIONAL MUSIC ACTS, CYCLING AND RUNNING EVENTS

Copper Mountain’s summer events give guests every reason to enjoy summer in the high county, from sitting back and listening to national music acts to running half marathons and pedaling celebrated road rides.  Events including the Courage Classic and US Half Marathon let guests experience Copper Base Camp with days full of adventure and excitement followed by a village complete with fine meals, great shopping and comfy down pillows.  The Village at Copper will sing this summer, with performances from country star Vince Gill, classic rockers the Doobie Bros., guitar greats Peter Frampton and David Lindley, the jam band sounds of Disco Biscuits and Umphrey’s McGee, and the hard rock of Bad Company and Vince Neil to name a few.

Copper and National Forest Foundation Fund Local Conservation Projects

Copper Mountain and the National Forest Foundation (NFF) are pleased to announce the first recipients of the Ski Area Contribution Program (SCP) grants. SCP grants are intended for nonprofit groups to implement projects in direct benefit of the Dillon Ranger District of the White River National Forest.

The guest experience at Copper Mountain continues to evolve and will soon feature a number of new choices in restaurants and unique mountain experiences including casual fine dining at the C.B. Grille, fun lunch options, unique gifts at Kokomo, a working art gallery/studio, a centralized Guest Service area and more.

Copper Mountain and Camp Woodward announced a partnership today that will bring the innovative instructional practices of Woodward to the sports of snowboarding and skiing - and to the slopes of Copper.
