COPPER CELEBRATES THREE GRAND OPENINGS

Copper Mountain, CO… December 13, 2006… The buzz around Copper these days is, “If you haven’t visited lately, you haven’t truly experienced Copper.” Recent updates to the après, restaurant and shopping offerings are adding to the greater variety of experiences just in time for the holiday season. The grand openings of Incline Bar & Grill Dec. 14, Copper Red Hots Dec. 15 and Chubs Dec. 16 complete the updates which now total nine new and improved restaurants and unique shopping experiences at Copper.

 

Incline Bar & Grill is an eclectic American grill specializing in rotisserie, barbeque, salads, sandwiches and fajitas serving lunch, après and dinner. Incline opens its doors for dinner Thursday, Dec. 14. Copper Red Hots is a new twist on an old favorite specializing in creating the perfect hot dog, bratwurst or specialty sausage for everyone in the family. Red Hots is centrally located in Burning Stones Plaza near the base of the American Eagle Chairlift. Chubs, next to West Lake, features crepes, ice cream, hot drinks, sandwiches and hot soups daily. Chubs is also the new location where guests can rent ice skates  and sign up for curling and broomball games once West Lake freezes for the season.

Already open for business at Copper are C.B. Grille, featuring Colorado cuisine with French and Mediterranean influences and a high end chophouse flare; Kokomo, featuring distinctive Colorado gifts including ornaments, pottery, woodcrafts, candles, and more; The Michael Newton Gallery, a working studio/gallery featuring fine art by local and regional artists; Tucker’s Tavern, specializing in steaks, burgers, and pizza; Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, under new ownership and featuring the best caramel apples on the planet and homemade fudge among other goodies and Pizza Carlo at the base of the American Eagle Chairlift serving delicious pizza, calzones, subs and salads in a playful and laid back atmosphere.

 

Additionally, the newly refurbished Union Creek base area at the west side of Copper Mountain – home to the Ski & Ride Schoolhouse youth program – is open for the season. With access to Kokomo and Highpoint Chairlifts as well as three beginner surface carpet lifts, Union Creek is the ideal base area for the newbie and beginner skier or rider. Changes to Union Creek include a more user friendly guest services area – a true one-stop-shop where guests can purchase lift tickets, tubing sessions, Ski & Ride School lessons, rentals, retail items, season passes and Beeline passes. Guests can inquire about lost and found and get resort information including maps of cross country and snowshoeing trails. Also at Union Creek are the Union Creek Food Court and Camp Hale Coffee.
