Copper Mountain, CO… June 12, 2007…Follow a day of high country adventures with Copper's free music and movies for the family. This summer, the Village at Copper features free live music each week during the Saturday Night Street Parties, exciting free movies at the Burning Stones Outdoor Theatre and free family activities.
Copper abounds with free family activities during the summer months. Families can enjoy free activities in the Village at Copper from 5-7:30 p.m. every Friday starting June 15. The free family activities include unlimited access to go-karts, mini golf, bumper boats, trampoline quad power jump and the largest outdoor climbing wall in Colorado. Visit the Copper Information Center, located near the Burning Stones Plaza in the center village, to complete a waiver and receive an activity pass. Kids will also enjoy activities in the Village at Copper every Saturday and Sunday from 1-3 p.m., June 16 - August 26. Activities include: stilt walking, face painting, hula hoop games, juggling and temporary tattoos.
The Village at Copper welcomes performers every Saturday from 6-8:30 p.m. from all musical backgrounds including country, rock and blues. Please note that some performance times may vary due to special events. After listening to music, guests can enjoy a movie under the stars with the mountains as their backdrop. Visitors can bring their family, friends and a cozy blanket to Burning Stones Plaza and then sit back and enjoy the movie! All types of movies will be represented this summer, such as action, cartoon/kids, comedy and documentary. The outdoor movies are free, taking place most Saturdays beginning June 16, please note that some movies take place on Fridays. Movies begin at approximately 8:45 p.m. in Copper's Burning Stones Plaza, weather permitting.
