Copper Mountain, Colorado…August 23, 2011…Copper Mountain has collaborated with the Republic National Distributing Company to host Peak Performance’s 27th Annual Genuine Jazz & Wine Festival. The event features renowned jazz musicians, an expansive collection of wines to sample, and a gourmet grill from August 26-28 in the Center Village at Copper.
The festival will include 3-days of jazz stars taking the stage in the intimate and air-conditioned Copper Conference Center. Featured talent includes internationally renowned and Grammy Award Winning Jazz stars Stanley Jordan, Gerald Albright, Eric Darius and Jackiem Joyner, who will pay homage to Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson. Additional performers include Julian Vaughn, Tony Exum Jr., Julius, Gregory Goodloe, Rodney Edge, Bee Boisseau, and Steve Watts. Click here for a full schedule of shows, or here to purchase tickets. An All-Shows Weekend Pass may be purchased for $88, with individual show tickets starting at $48. Several free outdoor performances will also be available, including Denver-based Purnell Steen with Fred Fuller, part of the Free Fridays at Copper concert series.
The wine tasting portion of the festival will feature nearly 20 wines, in addition to several cognacs and ports, available for guests to sample. This year’s wine collection has a unique ‘eco-friendly’ theme. Tasting packages, in which guests’ receive tickets redeemable for a sample of the wine of their choosing, may be pre-purchased online or on-site.
Guests will also enjoy the Gourmet Grill, which provides a taste of this summer’s freshest ingredients. Items available include a Grilled Salmon Sandwich topped with a Tomato Avocado Salsa or the Grilled Portobello Mushroom Sandwich topped with spinach, tomato, fresh mozzarella, and a balsamic reduction.
