COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo. – February 6, 2014 – Copper Mountain has surpassed 200 inches of snow for the 2013/2014 winter season, making conditions the best they have been in years. Enjoy the fresh snow and fall in love at Copper over President’s Weekend with Copper Uncorked and in Love.

Not your average everyday wine festival, Copper Uncorked and In Love features affordable wines from across the globe ripe for tasting throughout the weekend. Kicking off on Friday, Feb. 14, restaurants around the resort offer dinner specials featuring unique wine and food pairings; think burgers and a Zinfandel or mac-n-cheese with a Pinot Noir. On Saturday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. chefs from around Copper compete for best pairing during the Wine-n-Wing Challenge. With no buffalo wings allowed, chefs create pairs such as sweet and spicy Asian wings with a Sparking Sake or smoked wings with a Zinfandel. The best pairing voted by guests will win the title. Follow the competition with a free Moonlight Snowshoe Tour from 5 – 8 p.m. led by Copper Mountain Resort Ambassadors. The tour starts from West Village and traverses frozen creeks and wooded trails, leading to a romantic meadow lit by the full moon. Love on Ice, ice skating performance, starts of the evening festivities on West Lake at 6 p.m., followed by a fireworks show will complete the romantic evening at 7 p.m. over West Lake, located in Center Village. Learn at new trick or two at the K2 Ski and Snowboard Camp hosted by Woodward at Copper on Sunday and Monday, Feb. 16 – 17. Available for all abilities ages 8 and up, this camp is spent half in the Woodward Barn and half on snow in Woodward’s award-winning terrain parks. Thanks to Mother Nature, Snow Day Pass holders have been able to enjoy two weeks’ worth of skiing or riding so far this season.
