U.S. Freeskiing and U.S. Snowboarding athletes will gather at Copper Mountain on Saturday, Dec. 8 for the annual U.S. Freeskiing and U.S. Snowboarding team naming event at 2:45 p.m. in Burning Stones Plaza. Enter to win a private meet and greet with America’s snowboarding and freeskiing Olympic hopefuls at www.facebook.com/CopperMtn or www.facebook.com/ussnowboarding.
Following the team naming, feel the funk at a FREE Super Diamond concert — the most out-of-sight Neil Diamond cover band — starting at 3 p.m. During the show, mellow out with 72¢ beers outside Endo’s, available from 1-5 p.m., or witness some of the best skiers in the world compete at the Superpipe during The North Face Park & Pipe Open Series.
Saturday’s festivities also include an on-mountain scavenger hunt with the opportunity to win a Copper 4-pack, the Groovy Chase 5K Snowshoe Race, and a 70s Costume Contest with a season pass, skis, gear and Copper Cash awarded to those sporting the best 70’s throwback threads!
