Copper Mountain Allows Non-lift Up-Hill Access with New Uphill-Access Pass

As of Wednesday, Jan. 9 up-hill access at Copper Mountain is permitted with the 2013 Copper Mountain up-hill access pass. All guests are required to have a Copper Mountain up-hill access pass to skin or snowshoe within the resort boundary during non-operational hours; this includes a signed up- hill access waiver and armband that must in be plain sight while going up-hill.

COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo. — January 9, 2013 — As of Wednesday, Jan. 9 up-hill access at Copper Mountain is permitted with the 2013 Copper Mountain up-hill access pass. All guests are required to have a Copper Mountain up-hill access pass to skin or snowshoe within the resort boundary during non-operational hours; this includes a signed up- hill access waiver and armband that must in be plain sight while going up-hill. This pass is free and available at the Lower Patrol Room located next to the American Flyer lift behind Jack’s from 5 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Up-hill access is restricted to non-operating hours. Those partaking in up-hill travel must be at Solitude before 8:30 a.m. and no up-hill access will be granted until after 5 p.m.

All trail and rope closures must be adhered to. All those utilizing up-hill access must remain in the middle of the trail and avoid blind spots. The following routes are the ONLY routes open to up-hill access.

From East Village:
Up Skid Road to Main Vein, to Rhapsody ending at Solitude.

From Center Village:
Up Main Vein to Rhapsody ending at Solitude. Up Carefree or Loverly to Coppertone, East on Easy Road ending at Solitude.

From Union Creek (to Janet's Cabin):
Up Roundabout to West Ten Mile ending at the National Forest Access Point gate.
