Copper Mountain Open Sourced: Sherpa 2.0

Voted the 2013/2014 Best Use of Mobile Technology by the National Ski Areas Association, Sherpa gives guests hands-free, real-time insider intelligence, across the entire mountain. New this season Copper hands over the controls of Sherpa to everyone, allowing for an open-sourced mountain.  Not only will guests be able to create and share their own mountain tips and favorite trails, but Copper will reward the best contributors with swag, tickets, passes and even a prized treasured spot on 2015/2016 winter trail map.  Sherpa 2.0 will change how guests interact with the mountain and create a community rewarding those who help to improve the mountain experience.  More information


Supporting Skiing and Riding Generations to Come

Copper Mountain flattens the learning curve with terrain-based learning programs using entry-level man made features, such as banked turns and a mild mini-pipe. Teamed with progressive teaching principles, never-evers explore various snow sliding sensations while the mountain and gravity does all the work. More information


Ski and Ride University: No More Excuses for Never-Evers

Inspired by National Learn to Ski and Ride Month, Ski and Ride U offers newbies a hassle-free and affordable option to catch the powder flu. For only $199, the package includes three ski or snowboard lessons, lift tickets, equipment rentals, close-in parking and lunch. Upon graduation and completion of the third lesson, Copper will toss in a free season pass for the remainder of the 2014/15 winter season.  Available fall 2014.  


Woodward Copper Barn is New Teen Hub

New this winter, The Woodward Copper Barn transforms into the hub for all teen lessons.  Ages 13 – 18 of any skill level will begin their day with Copper Ski and Ride School at The Woodward Copper Barn adding foam pits and trampolines to their experience. More Information


Woodward Copper Freestyle Lessons: For Young and Young at Heart

Youth Freestyle Lessons bridge the gap between indoor foam pits and on-snow domination for kids and adults that are trying to keep up with kids. This full-day lesson splits time between The Woodward Copper Barn, and on snow practice complete with instruction in Woodward’s award-winning terrain parks.


Believe in U.S.: Training and Competition Starts at Copper Mountain

First Tracks, U.S. Alpine Ski Team Naming, Nov. 8
In honor of naming the 2014/2015 U.S. Alpine Ski Team, Copper Mountain is putting on a world-class send off for the World Cup season. In addition to an announcement ceremony, the day’s events are set to include training viewing on the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center, free live music and more.


Sprint U.S. Grand Prix at Copper Mountain, Dec. 1 - 6

The first major halfpipe competition of the North American winter season, the top halfpipe freeskiers and snowboarders come together to battle for the best ranking heading into the action packed competition season. Interviews are available with the U.S. Freeskiing, U.S. Snowboarding teams and coaches upon request.
