Elite runners from all over the globe make their way to Copper Mountain for the La Maratona Verticale, a part of the 2014 US SkyRunning Series on Saturday and Sunday, July 26 & 27. La Maratona Verticale at Copper Mountain will feature a full (26.2 Miles- 42k) and a half (13.1 Miles- 21k) marathon on Saturday, July 26 starting at 6 a.m. and a Vertical K (3 miles- 5k) on Sunday, July 27 at 9 a.m.

2,200 Cyclists Complete 3-day Tour Benefiting Children’s Hospital Colorado

The riders of the 25th Courage Classic bike tour, benefiting Children’s Hospital Colorado, finished their three-day, more than 150-mile journey through Summit County today. The 2,200 cyclists started their trek on Saturday, July 19 and concluded in Copper Mountain on Monday, July 21 to the cheers of hundreds of volunteers, family members and friends.

2,000 riders pedal with purpose at 25th Courage Classic bicycle tour, July 19-21

More than 2,000 cyclists of all ages and ability levels, hundreds of volunteers and several generous sponsors participate each year to support the greatest needs of Children’s Colorado. The 155-mile,multi-route course winds through Summit, Eagle and Lake counties during the height of the Rocky Mountain’s summertime beauty.
