The Over The Hill Gang originated at Copper Mountain in 1976 and has been going strong ever since. The club is very active and remains a true celebration of maturity and a testimony to skiing and riding as a life time sport. This unique year-round program is operated by the Copper Ski and Ride School. Skiers and riders 45 years and over have the opportunity to share in lasting friendships and camaraderie while participating in skiing, riding, summer sport activities and social events.
The Gang skis and rides in guided groups on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from November 14 - April 4 (except for breaks during the Christmas Holiday and President's Weekend). The day is filled with maximum sliding time as our OHG guides expertly show groups of 5 to 10 the hidden secrets of Copper. The day is filled with a social lunch, lift line privileges, Apres ski camaraderie and outstanding skiing and riding.
Special clinics are offered during the season on everything from racing to telemark instruction.
CLUB INCLINE
Club Incline is only for the serious skier/rider. If there is anything you don't want to ski, this group is not for you.
CLUB DECLINE
Club Decline skis moderate bumps and powder, but usually stays on marked trails.
GROOMED ZOOMERS
This group skis mostly groomed black and blue terrain.
TRUE BLUE
True blue skis all blue terrain, but with some stopping along the trail for stories and tales.
NO WORRIES MATE
The terrain skied is green and blue at a pace that fits individual needs.

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, the OHG has both winter and summer volunteer-led activities. The winter activities include snowshoeing and cross-country skiing (daytime and moonlight), tubing, wallyball, ice skating, theatre outings and monthly potluck dinners with entertainment or dancing. During the summer, there is hiking, biking (road, mountain, winetasting tours and riding to Rockies baseball games), inline skating, highway cleanup, and tennis--you name it, we do it. Most events are followed by a potluck social, giving you unlimited opportunity to make new friends who also enjoy an active lifestyle.
